God has taught me so much during the past two weeks. I realized that there were things I knew as head knowledge that I was now learning at the soul level. During my pain, fear, and loneliness, God began to gently tuck verses of Scripture into my heart, giving me something rock solid to hold onto. I printed them out and sent them to my former sweetie in the hope that they would encourage him as well. I know he’s been hurting too and is facing some rough stuff right now. If you are a Christ follower, have a look at what God has promised us for our lives.
“The Lord is good; his love is eternal and his faithfulness lasts forever.” Psalms 100:5
“And so I am sure that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“I know what you do; I know that you have a little power; you have followed my teaching and have been faithful to me. I have opened a door in front of you, which no one can close.” Revelation 3:8
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9
“Jesus looked straight at them and answered, “This is impossible for human beings but not for God; everything is possible for God.” Mark 10:27
“And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10
“In that day he will be your sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure.” Isaiah 33:6
