I’m feeling pretty down today, so I’m taking the old song literally and counting my blessings. Well listing them anyway.

God has given me:

A comfortable and safe home
A wonderful daughter
The friendship of several terrific people
A somewhat warped sense of humor
Jackson Browne blasting through my speakers!
My James Taylor CD collection
My grandma’s recipe for chocolate cake with mocha fudge frosting
A working computer
A certain amoung of inteligence
Lots of determination to reach my goals
The ability to cook like a gourmet on a shoestring budget
A fast, quiet scanner
A younger brother to pick on (even though he’s taller and stronger than me now)
An unsinkable belief that things will get better if given enough time, effort, and faith.

After writing these things down, I do feel quite a bit better. My life doesn’t seem nearly as obnoxious as it seemed 10 minutes ago. Later.
